About Me: Raluca Daiana Ligia Hote
I am a Robotics Engineer with a strong technical background in robotics design and programming. I am known for my excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a strong command of multiple languages. I have extensive experience in the research and development of advanced robotic systems and a proven track record of successfully leading and collaborating in multidisciplinary projects.
Education
I enhanced my English language skills at Campus Education in New York City, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation skills. This training was crucial for understanding technical documentation and facilitating internationalization.
I completed my Master of Science in Robotics Engineering at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with a GPA of 3.94/4.00. My thesis, “Virtual Assistant Service Technology for Students in the Technical Field,” aimed to develop a technology-based solution to enhance the learning experience for technical students. I am also certified in Mobile Robotics, with a strong technical background in the hardware of the mobile manipulator MMO-700 Panda and a thorough understanding of ROS packages and the ROS-Navigation Stack, gained through intensive training.
During my time at the University of Stuttgart in Germany as an Erasmus+ exchange program student, I completed major projects in Artificial Intelligence, including the development of voice recognition and Internet of Things technologies for logistic processes, as well as the creation of voice assistants and object detection systems for industrial workplaces.
My Bachelor of Science in Robotics Engineering, also from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, with a GPA of 3.66/4.00, included a thesis on “Speech Recognition Technology Deployed in Deep Flow for Industrial Applications.” This work, along with other projects, allowed me to gain experience in Robotics Programming, Artificial Intelligence, CAD viewer, and simulation-based modeling programs.
Professional Experience
At the Fraunhofer-Institut für Arbeitswirtschaft und Organisation IAO in Stuttgart, Germany, as a Research Assistant, I was part of a dynamic team working on various research areas. We undertook diverse projects such as developing a speech recognition system for assembly and logistic processes, designing a connection-based Internet of Things system, modeling and simulating an exoskeleton in an industrial workplace, and designing and modeling the end effector for a disinfection robotic arm.
As a Data Operator at CSI Industrial Automation in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, I was responsible for sorting and distributing job projects related to CAD-based assembly systems among different departments. This role allowed me to apply my theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and sparked my interest in working with autonomous systems.
Other Work and Cultural Experience
I have also participated in the Work & Travel cultural exchange student program in the United States, where I engaged with individuals from diverse backgrounds, gaining exposure to different human relations, study, and work cultures. These experiences have equipped me with valuable skills that I can apply to future roles in any industry.
Languages
I am fluent in English and Spanish, native in Romanian, and have basic knowledge of German and French.
Skills and Technologies
I am proficient in programming languages such as Python, ROS, RoboDK, MIR-Mobile Industrial Robots programming, JAVA, HTML, and C++. My skills in 3D CAD Modeling include Autodesk Inventor, Autocad, SolidWorks, and CATIA Delmia- Dassault Systemes. In terms of simulation, I am skilled in using Jack – Siemens Software, RobotStudio, Tecnomatix, Siemens Plant Simulation, and Factory I/O. I also have experience with the Siemens-TIA portal PLCSIM automation system.
